How long does it take for the background checks to complete?
Turnaround time on submitted requests is typically same day to 48 hours. The industry standard is 72 hours.
What criteria should your youth sports organization require for a background check?
As the data provided in the many databases searched is not equally maintained and accessed by each state, the universal criteria is hard to enforce. For that reason it's critical that you partner with a credible background screening company like Protect Youth Sports. What methods are available for ordering reports?
Lists of coaches may be imported using a special Excel based spreadsheet for easier and faster service. Names can be entered using our easy online format available and with the click of a button you can select single or multiple names at once to run their background checks. Coaches, volunteers and staff can also apply online, enter their information themselves and our system can automatically order the background reports for you. Finished reports are accessed through a secure, online account.
How accurate are the results of background reports?
Criminal records from the National Database are verified for accuracy prior to sending them to our clients. Plus, we will Pass/Fail your coaches using our automatic coach scoring system using the criteria you define. This will save time going through each individual report online.
